Wetlands are a transitional landscape between dry land and waterways, and are important in maintaining the two. Wetlands are known to improve water quality, increase flood storage, provide wildlife habitat, and create recreational activities. Preserving and strategically using wetlands can be the solution to several nature related issues while also creating new opportunities for the public.
