Iowa has made waves for water quality improvement, but with many agencies, organizations, and sources contributing to the cause, it can be challenging for stakeholders to access up to date information on funding, regulations, and resources.
Seeing an opportunity to advance efforts across the board, the Great Outdoors Foundaton and its partners set out to develop a robust data hub where Iowans of all backgrounds could access the information and tools they need to support water quality efforts.
After dozens of interviews, countless hours of research, and several rounds of end-user feedback, The Iowa Current was launched. This collection of the latest water quality resources, articles, regulations, and data is designed to streamline education, awareness, and implementation.
It is owned and operated by the Great Outdoors Foundation and seeks to provide unbiased and valuable information for all Iowans.
