Water Conservation Infrastructure

The Conservation Infrastructure Initiative

The main goal of The Conservation Infrastructure Initiative is to improve water quality while also creating jobs in the process. This initiative takes a 3-level approach including strategy, cover crops, and conservation drainage. Each category works towards developing solutions for respective key issues such as socio-economic value, technical knowledge, and educational opportunities. The CI Initiative envisions Iowa being a leader in healthy soil and water as well as economically vibrant communities. Increased investments in conservation practices will lead to healthy soil and improved water quality for the benefits of all Iowans and downstream communities.
